unar Mines Africa: Prospecting, Mining, and Value Addition of Copper Mines

Lunar Mines Africa (LMA) currently owns three copper mines licenses in Kilosa, Morogoro Region, teeming with chalcopyrite (CUFeS) averaging 5-15%. The area is highly enriched with deposits, and we use various measures of prospecting such as trench cuttings, hole drilling, pits, and grab samples to collect preliminary data. We have conducted a Geochemical report Analysis and a Local Smelting Pilot test in KIRURU (Mwanga) to obtain results.

At LMA, we are aware of the high demand for copper ore and by-products in today’s world of technology and innovation. Our focus is on prospecting, mining, and value addition. We have conducted numerous experiments and tests to develop the optimal process flow sheet and have gained substantial skills and expertise in the copper smelting process during trial run production. Our ultimate goal is to manufacture products using copper ores rather than metal scraps, which includes producing cables, bronzes, brasses, and other items using the ingots we produce.

Recognizing the demand for high copper concentrate, Lunar Mines Africa (LMAL) has launched a program to increase the percentage of copper in our ores by using the flotation method. After several trials on a small scale, LMAL obtained the best results, leading to plans for expansion to a larger commercial facility.

LMA aims to concentrate copper ores that are estimated to contain 0.5% up to 30% copper. The process of flotation will target Copper Sulphide, Chacopyrite, Bonite or Primary Copper ore from regions such as Morogoro and other parts of the country. This process will involve the use of reagents and mechanical processes to achieve optimal results.
